But what does the Campanella di Capri represent? Myth or Legend?
Whether one is a believer or not, the power of symbols is undeniable. And so, the story of an unlucky shepherd gave birth to the lucky bell of Capri, a symbol of wishes granted and dreams kept that, at its chime, will become reality.
If the story of the Bell of Capri has retained its charm to this day, it is because it has its roots in an ancient legend featuring a young shepherd, orphaned of both father and mother. The young shepherd was poor and owned only one sheep, which one day got lost. From there, he began a desperate search for the animal to which he was very attached. On this occasion, the shepherd met Saint Michael. The Saint gave him a lucky bell that could grant all his wishes, including finding his beloved animal.
We can all identify with this young shepherd, at different moments in our lives.

What is this symbol?
The Neapolitan horn is a traditional Italian amulet in the shape of a small, curved horn, often bright red, worn as a pendant or hung in homes, cars, or businesses.
It is considered a good luck charm and a symbol of protection against the evil eye (malocchio in Italian).
Legend and tradition.
In the past, the horn had to be offered with a drop of blood or a symbolic prick on the hand of the person receiving it.
This deeply ritualistic gesture symbolized the direct transmission of luck and protection from the giver to the receiver.
It also represented the breaking of the evil eye at the moment of the gift, as well as the binding of destiny between the two people—a true pact of benevolence and positive energy.
